Shanghai metro security smoke screen (part 1)
In preparation for the Shanghai Expo, security check points and scanners have been installed in all Shanghai metro stations. Every bag and luggage has to go through the scanner, slowing down the otherwise-already-jammed traffic, and making travelling by subway an annoying experience.
But we feel more secure, right?
Let’s say you are a terrorist and you want to sneak in your bad-ass mass destruction weapon, how do you do that? Easy. The Shanghai metro starts running at five in the morning, but the employees at the security check points start working at seven. Between five and seven o’clock in the morning, you can bring in whatever you want.
Someone please tell me that terrorists haven’t thought about that, so that I could go back to my la la land.
