We are all connected
Recently, LinkedIn recommend that I connect with J.R.R. Tolkien, Ernest Hemingway, Werner Heisenberg, etc. Although I know that all things truly wicked start from innocence, but I am uncertain of my relationship with Gandalf.
Anyway, I was rolling on the floor laughing. As the recent statistics state, there are already over 10 billion social and online accounts. At this rate, and with all the funky recommendation algorithms for connection and introduction, all the dead will be revived, every dog and cat in town will have its own account, and every living (and dead) being on this planet will be connected. Which makes sense, after all. Wasn’t there a song that said we’re all connected?
LOL, a lot of people got this recommendation from LinkedIn. They probably used the same algorithm to recommend people to buy their shares on IPO day, no wonder the price went ballistic.
